Xian: The 8th Sanda World Cup held at Xian China from November 4 to 6. As many as 80 best Sanda players of 13th World Wushu Championship (2015) from 18 Countries participated is this event. Five players of India qualified for the event and won four silver and one bronze medals for the country.
Arjuna Awardee and World silver medalist Y Sanathoi Devi lost her 52 Kg finals against Chinese player Luan Zhang and settled for silver medal, while Uchit Sharma lost to Arnel Mandal of philinpies in 52 kg finals. Suraya Bhanu Pratap Singh (60 Kg) and Monika (56 Kg) also secured silver medals, while Pooja Kadian (75 Kg) secured a bronze medal.
