Mumbai: Sanjay Bangar has been appointed as the assistant coach (batting), while Abhay Sharma was named the assistant coach (fielding) for the West Indies tour for a four-match Test series next month, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced on Saturday.
The decision was taken in consultation with Anil Kumble, head coach, Indian cricket team.
Bangar was the interim head coach of the Indian team that recently won the One-Day International (ODI) and T20 International series in Zimbabwe while Sharma served as the fielding coach.
