Following a solitary point in the Hero I-League opener, DSK Shivajians lost 2-0 at Aizawl FC. The team will be aiming to make things right in their encounter against one of the biggest football clubs in the country, East Bengal.

Derrick Pereira, Head Coach, DSK Shivajians Football Club, talking about tomorrow’s match, said: “East Bengal is one of the biggest football clubs in the country. They have a very experienced side including players like Mehtab, Arnab, and more. It will be a tough encounter but we are confident that if we play to our strengths, we can come away with all three points.”

Our aim this season is to develop as a team. In every match, we want to learn from our mistakes of the previous game and perform better as a unit. We are working together daily to create the chemistry which would help the team going forward. We have a lot of young players who are playing in the I-League for the first time. On the other hand, we have experienced players who are ever ready to share their knowledge and experience with the young ones.”

“The players have shown character in the pre-season, especially after the impressive outing in the DSK Cup. Based on their performances, we have handpicked the top players who I think would be able to make a positive impact for DSK Shivajians Football Club in the I-League.”

The match on 26th January 2016 will kick-off at 7:00 pm and will be broadcasted live on Ten Action.
