Here are the hits and flops from the match.

HITS

Cedric Hengbart (North East United FC):

Hengbart was the main reason of the home team for keeping clean-slate. His solid and errorless defensive performance helped the team to earn first point in this season. He acted as a pillar in the defence position till the end. Alongside, he also helped his side in its attack by making good passes.

Apoula Edima Edel Bete (Chennaiyin FC):

Again a goal-keeper enters this list, and not surprisingly he is Apoula Edima Edel Bete. His tireless efforts made him the “Hero of the Match”. He saved a penalty from Kamara’s shot in the 39 minute, while he nearly saved the other penalty which was the first goal for the home team. His judgments and great techniques made much difficult for the home team to score against the depleted visitor’s side.

FLOPS

Diomansy Kamara (North East United FC):

Kamara is selected in this list not for just his missing penalty, but also for his effortless performance. His penalty shot was so poor that Edel Bete did not face much difficulty in saving that shot. Kamara totally failed in the match and that was the main reason to send him off in the 54th minute.

Bruno Pelissari (Chennaiyin FC):

Bruno Pelissari made a totally disappointing performance in the match. He did not fulfill his role in the first half and was sent off at the starting of the second half. His lack of concentration made his team to face more difficulties in the match.
