Vijender Singh off to a solid start at London OlympicsLondon: Beijing Olympics’ bronze medalist, Vijender Singh has started his campaign well in London Olympics. Vijender who is a serious medal contender from India defeated Danabek Sukhanov of Kazakhstan 14-10 in the middleweight (75kg) category.

With the win, Vijender has moved into the pre-quarterfinals of the mega event. Vijender who was in total command throughout the match, started cautiously in the first round but opened up as the match progressed.

The Commonwealth gold medallist used his reach well and showed his dominance over his opponent.

Vijender will have his  pre-quarterfinal clash with Terrell Gausha of USA on August 2.
