Mumbai: Shreyas Iyer scored a fantastic half century (86) as Mumbai went on to chase an imposing 182 runs to win against Vidarbha in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy here on Saturday.
Skipper Aditya Tare made a quickfire 41 off 24 balls. Iyer added 86 runs with Siddhesh Lad for the third wicket to push Vidarbha on the back-foot. Though they lost two quick wickets towards the end, Shashank Singh’s unbeaten 14 runs helped Mumbai overcome the total with seven balls to spare.
In another match, Samarth Singh unbeaten on 65 guided Uttar Pradesh home against Gujrat.
