The Wrestling Selection Trials were held at I.G. Stadium, New Delhi and STC, Lucknow on 4th and 5th March 2016 respectively for selecting the teams for participation in the Asian Olympic Qualifying Tournament to be held at Astana, Kazakhstan from 18th to 20th March 2016.
The men's squad led by Yogeshwar Dutt, includes five Freestyle wrestlers and six in the Greco-Roman category while the women's squad has six members.
The women's squad has several experienced grapplers including Vinesh Phogat (48kg), Babita Kumari (53kg) and Navjot Kaur (67kg).
