Patiala: Prerit Dutta’s (7 for 45) helped Punjab demolish Hyderabad for 112 in 38 overs in the under-19 Cooch Behar Trophy at Dhruv Pandove Stadium Patiala on Saturday.

Winning the toss Hyderabad chose to bat against Punjab. Left-arm spinner Prerit Dutta wove a web around Hyderabad batsmen and did not allow them any respite. P Reddy (30) and Chuhan Sahni (27) were the main run getters for Hyderabad.

Prerit Dutta returned with a figure of 7 for 45 while Akul Partap Pandove took 1 for 25 and Mayank Markande took 1 for 20.

Replying, Punjab was scored 184 for 7 in 50.1 overs. Sanvir singh (26 off 45 balls with the three boundaries), Ramandeep Singh (60 off 89 balls with 8 boundaries and one huge six) and Pardeep Yadav (35 off 57 with 5 boundaries) were the main run getters for Punjab.

Pabba Nilesh 8 for 2, P.Reddy 18 for 1 and G.V Vinith Reddy 49 for 4 were most successful bowler for Hyderabad.
