Pro Kabaddi League: Patna Pirates outclass Bengal Warriors 35-21

Patna Pirates vs Bengal WarriorsPatna: Patna Pirates maintained their unbeaten streak as they thrashed Bengal Warriors 35-21. Skipper Dharmaraj Cheralathan and star raider Pardeep Narwal played a stellar role as Patna Pirates romped to a fifth straight win in the fourth season of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League. PardeepNarwal scored 10 points whereas Cheralathan forced a flurry of super tackles to score nine points.

Patna Pirates look unstoppable and sit atop the league table with 25 points from five games. Bengal Warriors’s dismal run continued as they languish at the bottom spot with seven points from six games.

PardeepNarwal began sharply as he scored two points from his firs two raids as Patna Pirates led 3-1 after three minutes. Rajesh Mondal scored with a do-or-die raid in the sixth minute as Patna Pirates led 4-2. Bengal Warriors scored their first tackle point in the seventh minute to level the game at 4-4. Rajesh Mondal scored his third raid point to give Patna Pirates a 6-4 lead after 10 minutes. PardeepNarwal scored three raid points in the next two minutes to give Patna Pirates 9-5 lead. Patna inflicted the first all out of the match in the 12th minute as they led 12-6.

Bengal Warriors defenders came into life as they scored two tackle points in one minute to cut the deficit to four points in the 14th minute. Substitute Abolfazel made an immediate impact as he got two points to give Patna 15-10 lead in the 16th minute. PardeepNarwal scored two points in the last minute of the first half as Patna Pirates ended the first half leading 17-12.

With Patna Pirates reduced to just two men, PardeepNarwal scored a raid point and revived a man as they forced a super tackle to lead 21-13 after 24 minutes. While the defence scored only two points in the first half, they upped the ante in second halfas Patna Pirates were in control of the game for long periods of the match. In the 30thminute, Cheralathan forced another super tackle as Patna Pirates led 25-15. Cheralathan was in brilliant form as he forced another super tackle to score his ninth point in the 32nd minute to open a 11-point lead for Patna Pirates. PardeepNarwal achieved his third super 10 of the season in the 35th minute as Patna Pirates led 32-18. Rajesh Mondal scored with a raid point in the last minute as they beat a hapless Bengal Warriors 35-21.
