New Delhi: On his maiden visit to a Delhi Dynamos Youth Football camp, ISL Grassroots Technical Director Piet Hubers was all praises for DDFC's extensive youth football programme.

Hubers was in Delhi for 2 days to exclusively interact with budding footballers being coached by DDFC's team of dedicated grassroots coaches. DDFC's grassroots programme was adjudged one of the best during last season of the Indian Super League, and this season has followed the same pattern.

Earlier today, Hubers visited the New Willingdon Camp, one of the 4 being run across the city through the summer by Delhi Dynamos FC. He interacted with 55 children between the ages of 6 and 17, keenly watched them train, and imparted valuable advice, as the kids' proud parents took in the proceedings.

One of the young cubs' mother, Mrs. V Anand, videotaped her talented son Vihaan's entire exchange with Piet, and later said, "Delhi Dynamos' grassroots programme has been a blessing for my child! I'm sure Mr. Hubers will be as impressed with the club's dedication and sincerity towards nurturing young talent as all of us parents are!"

Hubers' visit was extra special as he was invited by DDFC to be a special guest on the occasion of the concluding day of the DDFC youth football camp at New Willingdon. Hubers spent more than 2 hours interacting closely with all the children, and couldn't wipe the smile on his face throughout. He looked happy and relaxed in the company of the cubs, and said "I always like when kids are playing football, guided by good coaches... I saw some really good players- they are having fun (and) that's the most important thing! It's very good that Delhi Dynamos FC is offering them this."

He concluded his visit by handing out certificates of appreciation to all the children and awarding the 3 best footballers in the camp.

Hubers seemed particularly impressed with the DDFC grassroots coaches. He spent a lot of time engrossed in deep conversation with them and shared with them his thoughts and philosophies about grassroots training. "I like the way (DDFC coaches) coach... I like coaches who are quiet- not shouting but just analyzing and helping the kids become a better player", he told us on the sidelines.

Clearly, Delhi Dynamos are on the right track and football in Delhi is in the right hands. It's Delhi's time now to roar, and the world to hear!
