What makes Dhoni’s IPL team tick in each version of the IPL? We have known Dhoni to be part of Chennai Super kings for eight long years and they performed exceptionally well throughout the period. Rather one can easily say that Chennai has been the most consistent team throughout the IPL. 

Now that he has moved on to a new team in this version of IPL, Pune team actually still look like the distant cousin of Chennai. It still has two quality spinners, long batting line up and a series of all-rounders. So we can actually expect this team to be as good as Chennai.

Gujrat Lions on the other hand still lack adhesive force which may bring the team together as a unit.
Dhoni acts like the unseen binding force in his team. The first match of this IPL has shown that we are can expect a good brand of cricket as far as Pune team is concerned and the men-in-purple may do the same as the men-in-yellow have accomplished.

Dhoni’s captaincy is a huge factor for his team’s success in the T20 format. As is said “A good leader can win great wars even with a weak army.” Because the great leaders make their players give their 100% on the field.

Dhoni’s accomplishments can’t be said to be a result of pure luck, because it takes more than that to win so many trophies and make as big name as his. He has a great mind for his work. He knows what to do at what time.
