Patna Pirates crush Dabang Delhi 67-34 in highest scoring match ever in Pro Kabaddi League

However, the winners were unsuccessful in busting the record for the highest margin which is held by Telugu Titans. They had humbled Puneri Paltan 60-24 in the first edition of the competition.

The front-runners led 38-17 at half-time. They inflicted as many as four all-outs on their opponents.

With this, Patna Pirates have their 10th win in 13 matches and a tally of 57 points. For the Dabang Delhi K.C. it was their 10th loss in 11 matches. They have 7 points.

The day belonged to Rohit Kumar who top scored with 16 points that included a tackle point. He had good support from Captain Sandeep Narwal who led the side in the absence of veteran Manpreet Singh. Sandeep had a total of 11 points with 8 tackle points.

The men who stood tall for the Delhi side were Surjeet Singh and Kashiling Adake. The former scored a dozen points while the latter flourished late in the match to score 10 that included a tackle point.

In a match that had only academic interest, the trend for the entertainer was set early. An early all-out in the 4th minute with the score at 9-3 was the beginning. The second came in the 15th minute at 26-14. But the overall tally for the match would exceed a hundred was beyond imagination as it hadn’t happened before.

Rohit Kumar with 11 points did most of the damage. Pardeep Narwal who took no part in the match in the second session had 7 points to his credit in just 9 raids. Sandeep who was always in the thick of things contributed 6 with one raid point. Only Surjeet Singh resisted for the losing team with as many as 11 points.

There were to be two all-outs later and with the win that too with a huge margin assured Patna Pirates brought in as many as four substitutes who scored at will against Dabang Delhi K.C. Mahipal Narwal the substitute all-rounder had a good score of 4 raid and 2 tackle points. Gurvinder Singh who started today also scored four before he was taken off.
