New Delhi: With the Premier Badminton League all set to kick-start on 2nd January 2016, Srikanth Kidambi is looking forward to play for Bengaluru Top Guns and is confident of a winning start to the League. With a good mix of players in each category, Srikanth will have Anand Pawar and Sameer Verma alongside him to play the crucial Men’s Singles.
Speaking on the Men’s Singles matches, Srikanth said, “I think the Men's Singles matches will be an interesting contest as with two matches, the teams will want to win both as then that will help get the edge in the Tie. With Sameer and Anand in our team’s category, I think we have a healthy mix and between us we will be able to give a tough time to the opponents. Premier Badminton League will be a great exposure for the players and will help benefit us by making us play high intensity matches.”
The Premier Badminton League will start from 2nd January 2016 where six franchisees - Delhi Acers, Hyderabad Hunters, Awadhe Warriors, Mumbai Rockets, Bengaluru Top Guns and Chennai Smashers - will compete for the top honour. The opening day of the League will witness Awadhe Warriors taking on Mumbai Rockets in Mumbai.
The Premier Badminton League will be telecasted LIVE on Star Sports.
