Jakarta: Asian Games bronze medalist & Arjuna Awrdee Y Sanathoi Devi, entered the semifinals in the women's 52 Kg weight category and secured atleast a bronze medal for country in the 13th World Wushu Championship.

Sanathoi Devi defeated Turkey's Ozlem Cicek in quarterfinals. She will compete against South Korean Hyebin Kim in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, young player Surya Bhanu Pratap defeated Iat San Mto of Macau in 60 kg quarterfinals and Suchit Sharma defeated Van Huang Dinh of Vietnam in 52 Kg quuarterfinals to enter the last four stage.

Meanwhile, Pars Cup 2015 gold medalist L Budhchandra Singh lost against Indonesian player Yusuf Widitanto in 56 Kg weight category.

Young player Puja Tomer lost her 48 Kg quarterfinal against Luan Thi Hoang.
