Deccan Chargers will host Royal Challengers Bangalore and the match will decide which will be the fourth team in the playoffs. Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai have already qualified in the top four and a win for RCB will take them in the playoffs. However, if they lose today’s match Chennai Super Kings will qualify because of their beteer run-rate.
Deccan Chargers also have got reasons to give their best shot in the match, a win will take them to number eight in the points table and they will dearly want that to happen as they have been the last team in the points table from the start and they would not want to end at that position.

Deccan Chargers:
Shikhar Dhawan: He is the highest run-scorer from his team and on a personal level has had a great tournament. He has been playing fluently and has played some crucial innings. Deccan would have won many matches if the bowlers would have backed this talented batsman’s performance.
Cameron White: He has hit the maximum number of sixes after Chris Gayle in this year’s IPL. White is a devastating batsman and has been in great form in the recent few matches. White is a dangerous batsman and RCB will be well aware of that fact.
Dale Steyn: Steyn was the man of the match in the last match that he played against Rajasthan Royals as he bowled beautifully in the match. Steyn is a threat in any format and against any team. He has been inconsistent in the tournament and would be really hoping for a great finish.
Amit Mishra: He bowled beautifully against Rajasthan Royals and looked at his best. Mishra turned the ball a lot and displayed good control. He will have to be at his best against Gayle and company.
Royal Challengers Bangalore:
Chris Gayle: He is the most dangerous batsmen of this format and all eyes will be on him in this match. Gayle is coming on the back of a brilliant hundred against Delhi and will be looking to carry forward the same momentum. Gayle will be looking to play an innings that will take RCB in the playoffs.
AB de Villiers: He has been brilliant in this season. He has played some amazing innings and has won Bangalore many matches. He has not got much chance to bat as he comes too far down the order. It will be interesting to see where he bats in this important match.
Zaheer Khan: Big players will have to step up in this very important encounter and Zaheer has been a big player match for India and for RCB. He has been dangerous upfront and has picked some early wickets. Zaheer will look to get the wicket of Dhawan as he is a very good bowler against left-handers.
Vinay Kumar: He has been a disappointment so far and he will be looking to pull up one great performance for his team. Vinay Kumar was a big buy for RCB and he hasn’t delivered so much.
