Kolkata: Gautam Gambhir (90 off 60 balls) once again led from the front and helped Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets and 10 balls remaining in the IPL encounter at at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Saturday.
Gambhir, who is the Orange Cap holder and Man-of-the-Match, said that it was very important win today. “We are on the road. During the toss as I said, we wanted momentum. Early wickets set the game up for us. I thought it was a 170 wicket,” said the KKR skipper.
“ It was a beautiful wicket to bat on. It was just the matter of seeing off the new ball and taking it on. We wanted to ease Narine into the tournament. They lost 3-4 wickets and he had no pressure on him. He is going to be our trump card and will be lethal when he go back home,” said Gambhir.
