Well it is the last month of the 2015 and we have seen many great events in this year, including the World Military games, Cricket World Cup, Rugby World cup and many more. All the events were exciting and successfully organised and there were lots of glories, ups, downs and upsets.

Upcoming year 2016 will also be an eventful year with many major events lined up for the next 12 months. So here is the list of major events in 2016.

• RIO OLYMPICS

Rio Olympics will be the main highlight of 2016. The mega event will start from August 5 2016 and will continue till August 21 2016 in Rio De Generio, capital of Brazil. With 146 nations, over 2000 athletes and the Brazilian flavor, the Games will be a must watch thing. The Games will take place across 33 venues spread across four regions of Brazil and it will feature 28 games, including golf and rugby sevens, which will be the latest edition.

• T20 WORLD CUP

This will be the sixth T20 World Cup scheduled to take place from March 8 to April, 2016 in India. The tournament will feature 16 teams, including 10 full members and six associate members. The tournament will played at venues. The final will be played at Eden Gardens Kolkata.

• EURO 2016

Euro 2016, the 15th edition of European Championship, will take place from June 10 to July 10, 2016 in France. It will be the first time that there will be 24 teams contesting in the tournament

• Grand Slams 2016

Grand Slams 2016 are going to be exciting as their will be fierce competitions in major events, as Federer would be seeking to win his 18th Grand Slam with his new coach. Djokovic will be hoping to make this year his again. His main target will be to win his first French Open.
