Edwood Park, (Blackburn): Two late goals by Manchester United helped them beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 here on Monday to take a giant leap towards retaining their Premier League title.
United have now taken a five points lead over their rival Manchester City after the latter could manage to win only one game out of their last four matches.
The match which saw no goals scored till the 80th minute finally could see the deadlock being broken after Valencia’s shot curling shot’ who was on fire throughout the game found the far post in the 81st minute.
Five minutes later, Ashley Young scored the second goal of the match to seal the deal for United.
"It was a great result and great performance. We knew we were always going to create chances. It is a massive lead for us. We've just got to take each game as it comes." Young told Sky Sports.
