Arsene Wenger, manager Of Arsenal has been named the Barclays Manager for the month of February and West Bromwich’s striker Peter Odemwingie got the Player of the Month award.

Aresene’s team remained unbeaten in February and that contributed in the manager getting the award.

Gunners in the process defeated Bolton Wanderers, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland. Their win against Tottenham where they came back from behind to beat them 5-2 ensured that they had a great month.

The Aresnal manager received this award for the 12th time in his prolonged career.

Nigerian footballer and West Brom striker Odemwingie got the award for the third time because of his recent form which has been fantastic. The striker hit a hat-trick against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He also played the pivotal role in his teams win against Sunderland, where he scored two goals.

The awards were announced by the Barclays Awards Panel, which included Football’s governing body, media and the fans.
