Chennai: The organizers of the Aircel Chennai Open today announced that the tournament has entered into a new partnership with Hyatt Regency Chennai. The contemporary abode in the heart of Chennai will be the championship’s ‘Official Hotel’ for the next three editions of the USD 4,50,000 tournament, which is India and South Asia’s only ATP World Tour event.
Hyatt Regency Chennai marked the first foray of Hyatt Hotels & Resorts into South India. Since its inception, the contemporary hotel has been providing authentic hospitality to discerning business and leisure travelers with multiple award-winning food & beverage outlets, luxurious Siddh Spa and fitness centre, 327 aesthetically designed rooms & suites, state-of the-art banquet and event spaces and exquisite theme based art installations in the hotel.
The 19th edition of the tournament will be held at Chennai’s SDAT Stadium from December 30th 2013 to January 5th 2014. It features one of the strongest playing fields ever, with an impressive lineup of talent including top 20 players Stanislas Wawrinka, Mikhail Youzhny, Fabio Fognini and defending champion Janko Tipsarevic among others. Both Indian and International participants will compete for the coveted title. The tournament promises to give the subcontinent access to a week of scintillating tennis action.
In its capacity as Official Hotel, Hyatt Regency Chennai will play host to players, tournament officials and guests. Apart from hosting the world’s leading tennis players for the entire duration of their stay in Chennai, the hotel will also host the one-of-a-kind player parties and partner events.
