Harshal gives DD camp something to cheer about; DD beat CSK by 34 runs

Harshal PatelMan of the Match Harshal Patel’s (36*, I for 23) all round performance helped Delhi Daredevils beat the Chennai Super Kings by 34 runs in the league match of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League on Friday (May 18). This was Delhi’s fourth win in the competition and they are already out of the tournament.

At their home ground on Friday, Delhi batted first and somehow posted a total of a challenging 162 runs on the board. In response CSK were choked by the DD on the field with their accurate bowling and excellent ground fielding. CSK just managed 128 runs for the loss of 6 wickets and fell short of the total by 34 runs. This was the Chennai’s 5th defeat in 13 games.

However, CSK still stay at the second position on the points tally. Chennai play their last league game on Sunday (May 20) against the Kings XI Punjab at their home ground in Pune.
