Spinner Kuldeep Yadav’s Man of the Match Performance (4 wickets for 20 runs) and skipper Dinesh Karthik’s useful contribution with the bat (41*) helped the Kolkata Knight Riders beat the Rajasthan Royals by 6 wickets in the league match of the 11th edition of the Indian Premier League.
Kolkata now have 14 points with 7 wins and one more win can guaranty a place in the Play offs for KKR. On the other it was a massive defeat for Rajasthan, as now they will have to depend on few other results to go in their favor if they want to qualify from here.
On Tuesday at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, KKR won the toss and invited the Rajasthan to have a bat first. Rahul Tripathi (27) and Jos Buttler (39) stiched together a 29 ball 63 runs partnership to get RR off to a flier. However, KKR bowlers pulled it off really well spearheaded by Kuldeep Yadav. Andre Rusell and P Krishna also contributed with 2 wickets each to bowl RR out for just 142 in 19 overs.
