Dhoni and Rayudu power Chennai to fifth win

This was Chennai’s fifth win in 6 matches and fourth defeat for RCB in as many games.

On Wednesday at the M. Chinnaswami stadium in Bengaluru, Quinton de Kock (53) and AB de Villiers (68) helped the RCB reach a challenging total of 205 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. The duo stitched a partnership of 103 runs in the process. For Chennai, fast bowler Shardul Thakur, Dwayne Bravo and leg spinner Imran Tahir picked up 2 wickets each.

In response, Chennai got to the target with 2 balls to spare, with Dhoni finishing it off in familiar style. Dhoni’s innings was studded with 1 four and 7 sixes. MS along with Ambati Rayudu stitched together a 101 runs for the 5th wicket and played a significant role in Chennai’s win. Chennai are back at the top of the points table, while RCB are struggling at 6th place.
