Hyderabad: Fine half centuries from skipper David Warner (92 off 50 balls) and Kane Williamson (50 off 38 balls) helped Surisers Hyderabad beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 15 runs at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Saturday.
David Warner, who was also Player of the Match said, "I'm over the moon with this win. You never know what a good total is, especially when you're playing a star-studded line-up like RCB. Williamson and I set out to try and get to 100 without losing a wicket. It was fantastic for him to come in and play the way he did. He played the anchor role to take the pressure off me. Moises was fantastic in the end. He' coming in really handy for us."
Meanwhile, RCB skipper Virat Kohli said, “We weren't good enough. Sunrisers recovered early after Shikhar's loss. Warner was fantastic and Kane Williamso gave him able support. Once again, our execution with the ball was poor. When Warner got out, I thought we could restrict them to 175. I thought 195 was a little too much. I'm not worried about the batting bit. It's the bowling we need to get better at.”
