Australia women defeat India by 221 runsMumbai: Australian women defeated India by a massive margin of 221 runs in the second one-day of the three match series. With the win the Australian eves have won the series as well.

It was India who won the toss and elected to ball on the flat Wankhede pitch. The visitors started slowly and lost their first wicket on the score of 26 runs in the eighth over. After the fall of the first wicket Meg Lanning walked into bat and started scoring runs at a brisk rate. She along with Alex Blackwell (81) put a partnership of 180 runs and took Australia to a dominating position. Lanning got out after scoring 128 runs in which she hit 19 fours and one six.

Jess Cameron provided an innings of 32 runs in 19 balls to take Australia to a score of 300. India came in to bat and found the going tough right from the moment go. They lost wickets continuously and only two players could reach the double figure mark.

For Australia, it was Ellyse Perry who tore through the Indian batting line-up and took five wickets. For India, Mithali Raj remained unbeaten on 30.
